HIS Trade Information Systems Conference 2019

Our consultant Thomas Danner attends the IT/Trade Information Systems Conference at the University of Münster every year.

This event is primarily aimed at decision-makers from medium-sized trade companies dealing with the integration of IT-Systems, processes and organization in their companies.

One of the highlights of the Trade Information Systems Conference are the keynote speeches by IT and process managers from the trade industry sharing their experiences with information technologies and forecasting potential innovation activities.

The speeches were complemented by a trade fair with exhibitors displaying their products and services and showcasing the latest technological developments. Of particular interest was the Start-up Pitch in which four young companies presented their innovative ideas and subsequently discussed them with the conference attendees.

Attendees were also given the opportunity to actively participate in workshops. One of these was titled "Success Factor Payment - Designing Processes Efficiently and Properly from Shop System to Checkout". In the course of this workshop, the organizers DATEVeG and Ingenico Payment Services GmbH demonstrated how to support payment processes efficiently and in line with the statutory requirements.

The HIS Conference has taken place every year since 1997 in the historical riding arena of the University of Münster and is organized jointly by the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) under the direction of its Managing Director Professor Dr. Jörg Becker, ServiCon Service & Consult, an affiliate of the Mittelstandsverbund - ZGV e.V. (SME Groups Germany), and the EHI Retail Institute.
