This year‘s donation: “Making young people fit for work”

"The great aim of education is not knowledge but action." (Herbert Spencer (1820 - 1903))

Inspired by this quote, the IT Personalberatung Dr. Dienst & Wenzel GmbH & Co.KG made a generous donation to the Diakonische Jugendhilfe Region Heilbronn (DJHN) (Youth Welfare Service for the Heilbronn Region) this year.

The IT-Personalberatung has been supporting needy children and adolescents in the regional proximity of the company or its branch offices for some years, this year in the Heilbronn region. 12 days before Christmas, Markus Schnizler, the managing director of the DJHN, and Kerstin Thiele, the school's principal, met in the Gustav Werner School to receive a very special "Christmas present" in the form of a donation by the IT Personalberatung Dr. Dienst & Wenzel. Thomas Danner, one of the partners at the IT Personalberatung Dr. Dienst & Wenzel, presented a symbolic check amounting to EUR 1000 to Markus Schnizler.

But why did the choice fall on the GWS (Gustav Werner School) this year? Thomas Danner explains the motivation for this donation: "Instead of sending Christmas presents to our customers, we want to support social projects. As a personnel consultancy for the IT industry, it is of great importance to us to support young people, to give them the chance to successfully enter the working world and to remove obstacles for them. The Gustav Werner School not only strives to deepen and broaden the students' general knowledge, but also actively aims to strengthen their social skills and project expertise, thus giving its students the ingredients for a holistic lifestyle. The students work on real projects from external commercial partners and private customers."

According to Schnizler, it is "a joy to receive such a gift for supporting young people," and he sincerely thanks Mr. Danner for the donation of the IT Personalberatung Dr. Dienst & Wenzel.
